Information on high temperatures in hot summer areas
The rules of gardening will need to be changed as the summer and its heat arrive. Succulents, for example, can store water and survive in heat. Aloe Vera, for example, is a succulent.
Heat can be detected by the drooping of leaves or their withering.
Plants that produce vegetables may be unable to do so. Plants such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers may have their flowers drop when the temperature is high.
It is easy to care for plants during hot weather, whether they are inside or outside. Watering is the number one rule, and it is often necessary to add water. Container plants need to be thoroughly watered until water is visible coming from drainage holes. Mulching can help plants retain moisture and shade covers are also effective.

Fill approximately 2/3 of a pot or container with soil when planting flowers. Start by adding the tallest flowers in the middle of the pot or at the back, like Pentas. (This flower is a stunning star-shaped flower.) Vincas (also known as Periwinkle) are the next shorter flowers. These flowers can be grown in the shade or full sun and are tolerant of hot weather. Along the edge, you can place hanging flowers. This is a great way to use potato vines!
Fill in any gaps or holes with additional soil. Add a bit of fertilizer to the top. Read the instructions on the package or ask a Green Goddess representative. Watch your creation grow as you water it.

Take Care of Plants during Hot Weather
Phoenix plant care involves several considerations. It is difficult to maintain soil water and other irrigation problems in a dry climate. In the winter, it is often necessary to bring exterior plants indoors or cover them. Indoor plants also need extra care to get enough sunlight in the shorter days.
The scorching heat is the most important factor in the care of Phoenix plants and trees. Different nursery plants will react to hot weather. Understanding the symptoms of heat stress and the solutions you can use to ensure your plants’ health throughout the year is important.
